virtualmin pro is at version 4.17 and says no updates available but I see online that 5.07 is the latest

I have been at virtualmin pro version 4.17 for a while, every time I check for updates nothing is available?

What else is not updating?

Distro issue?

what can I do to fix this and get updated to the latest version?

Your YUM repository config might be missing or invalid. Can you post your /etc/yum.repos.d/virtualmin.repo file?

that file does not exist these are the files in the /etc/yum.repos.d folder

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1991 May 18 2016 CentOS-Base.repo -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 647 May 18 2016 CentOS-Debuginfo.repo -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 289 May 18 2016 CentOS-fasttrack.repo -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 630 May 18 2016 CentOS-Media.repo -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 916 May 23 2016 CentOS-SCLo-scl.repo -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 892 Jun 16 2016 CentOS-SCLo-scl-rh.repo -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 453 Aug 22 2016 CentOS-SCL.repo.rpmsave -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 6259 May 18 2016 CentOS-Vault.repo -rwsr-s--- 1 root root 463 Jun 2 2011 virtualmin.repo.rpmnew -rwxr-x--- 1 root root 453 Aug 19 2016 virtualmin.repo.rpmsave

Aha, that looks like the issue then.

Try running this command, this should fix that up:

mv /etc/yum.repos.d/virtualmin.repo.rpmsave /etc/yum.repos.d/virtualmin.repo

After that, are you able to update Virtualmin?
