Understanding ProFTP Startup

Hi,

I have ProFTP installed and I am offering FTP to several virtual domains. I am currently a bit confused about ProFTP's configuration and startup, as I encountered the following:

• ProFTP is configured to start at boot time
• System Information showed that ProFTPd is not running

• ProFTP module also said it is not running

• Starting ProFTP over the module said, that it is running, System Information still shows ProFTP not running

• Stopping ProFTP in the module and starting it in the System Information (Status) says that it is running

It seems that my configuration is somehow messed up. I would expect to configure ProFTP in the module and that the System Information shows the correct status.

Any idea what goes wrong here?
