I'm trying to allow my customers to create a staging site and clone back and forth between staging and production. It looks like the cloning capability is there and works great. But I'm not sure if Virtualmin is built to handle this specific functionality. The only time I see cloning available is on a subdomain (unless I'm logged in as superadmin).

Howdy -- thanks for contacting us!
Yeah unfortunately Virtual Server owners can't create new top-level domains.
However, in addition to root and other Master Admin accounts, resellers can clone domains.
Would setting up one or more users with reseller accounts do what you're after?

I think I figured it out. Rather than clone, I'm just copying the files and database via a shell script and changing the URL by doing a search and replace using the wp cli. Seems to work pretty well. Time will tell.
